About the Author

Today's life is very complex and competitive. Amidst the present day's turmoil we have to become internally strong enough to face any difficult situations and develop capacity to overcome it. All the negative thoughts should not be allowed to enter our mind instead dispel it. To have real peace in the world, and be able to live happily, creatively and without any sense of fear, the mind must be totally free from all conditioning either externally imposed or inwardly cultivated. Our old and ancient mantras entreat the mind to dwell on the auspicious will of the Divine, and help cultivate conscious resolve in alignment with one's purpose and most benevolent life. It is practiced for developing clear thoughts, alignment to purposeful living and also for strengthening mental resolve. It is a practice to retrieve the brain and nourishes the subtle tissues to pair with the light of one's soul and reason for life. It is successfully used while seeking answers or to bring feelings to you to continue your path. It harnesses thoughts and sweeps the mind into one pointed focus. The mantra cultivates purity and harmony and extends your relationship with your mind as an instrument to use for the benefit of the purpose of your life.

Introduction

In the present days it is very difficult to find a sense of inner peace. However, many individuals are discovering the transformative power of spiritual retreat to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and connect with their inner self. They want to renew their mind and recharge their spirit. As the world continues to become more connected and fast paced, it's getting increasingly hard to find peace and calm in life. Many people can identify with the feeling of always rushing from one thing to the next, with no time to slow down and reflect. But for those who are willing to step back and take a break, divinising their mind under the guidance of the adi guru and benomvalent Shiva is a wonderful way to rejuvenate and attain inner peace. Few minutes of daily meditation practice can help them slow down and experience peace and tranquility. What we go through during the meditation sessions is a seeding process and it takes time to grow. The results are not immediate but lastly it helps in giving up bad habits like smoking, drinking etc. People learn from their experience that managing their thoughts and mindset can bring about significant change. It is an attempt to know yourself and attain clarity of facts. It is self knowledge that gives a sense of liberation and helps in focusing on what you really want to do in your life. Understanding yourself helps in settling your wavering mind out of which awareness emerges which empowers people in many ways. The only way to create lasting change in the world is to approach every situation with love and compassion. To have a real peace in the world, the mind must be totally free from all conditioning either externally imposed or inwardly cultivated.

The recent banking crisis in the West, which led to a loss of vast amounts of wealth, was a black swan event, as it caused a feared contagion effect, spooking global markets. Taking a deeper spiritual perspective, it appears that the genesis of the trouble lies in adhering to non spiritual investing values. If the financial system prioritizes values like greed, competition and short term profits, it can lead to disaster. The same applies to individuals too. Both are given by the pursuit of generating and growing wealth. This can be achieved through careful long term decisions, or through reckless behavior that ignores risks. Three fundamental thoughts have been described in the Bhagwat Gita, that is, equanimous, self centered, and heedless, the investing styles both macro and micro are in accordance with these basic natures. Long term investing and trading is based on logic and equanimous nature; intraday trading decisions are taken by the mind that is the seat of self centered natures. To achieve a fine balance between the two and transition to equanimous nature requires meditation. Developing equanimity is crucial during adversity and uncertainty, despite going through misery.

Today, the basic human values are being eroded, resulting in violence and aggression. The high incidence of violence in society is appalling, whether at domestic or societal level. Aggression has become an integral part of the children's lives too. Violence makes noise and news; non violence happens in silence. It's time the voice of non- violence is heard loud and clear. Let us bring back the pride in being peaceful, steady and compassionate. A lack of connectedness or belongingness breeds crime and violence. Limited wisdom and lack of education on human values are the main factors creating division. Only a sense of belongingness can nurture the character and the heart. This needs a focus on the value of responsibility, compassion and caring for humanity. Violence is neither our true nature nor the basis of civilization. When we bring up human values in society and give people confidence that non violence has more power and a longer lasting impact than the violence, the whole world will benefit. This is what Gandhiji demonstrated for us. We are required to work collectively on it.
