The body of the sari comes in dark purple with large zari colored butis all over the sari, making the sari look quite rich. The large butis are made in horse motifs, which are heavily decorated. The border of the sari is on both sides. The border is quite broad with the same horse pattern as in the butis amidst festive arches.
The pallav is the cynosure of all eyes. It is rich and exquisitely woven with zari colored threads giving a perfect contrast to the body of the sari. The pallav depicts varying themes symbolizing auspiciousness and festivity. On either end of the pallav there are dancers and musicians with drums and other musical instruments. Another line of the pallav consists of richly decorated elephants depicting the temple and festive life. Also depicted are richly decorated horses in small and large sizes.
The entire mood of the sari is very festive and rich and is quite an asset to ones wardrobe.
