The body of the sari is plain maroon with small and delicate floral butis made with the use of Dabka work. In between the flowers are small white pearly beads. The butis lend a nice ambience to the sari. The border and the pallav are the cynosure of all eyes, for they are a combination of the delicate weave of the Benarasi style and the richness of the zardozi work over the weave to lend grandness to it. The border has a weave of ornate floral patterns among carved arches, that are beautifully done. Over these weaves are stitched the golden color Kora and Dabka work to bring out the shapes of the arches and flowers perfectly. The pallav is indeed grand with the use of carved arches as in the architecture of the country and floral embedded patterns. There is also heavy Zardozi work done all over the weave to give the pallav an exclusivity. Due to all its richness the sari is very heavy.
This sari makes the most memorable day of the bride an event to remember.
