As your eyes meet the sculpture's presence, you are transported to the realm where man and deity find companionship—the realm where Garuda serves as the vahana (vehicle) of Vishnu, embodying devotion and strength. His wings outstretched, he exudes an aura of majestic authority, a presence that carries the divine will with unwavering loyalty. His eyes, like beacons of cosmic awareness, seem to pierce through the veils of reality. The sculpture's symbolism is as profound as it is inspiring. Garuda, often depicted with a human body and the wings, beak, and talons of an eagle, signifies the mastery over the elements—the blending of earth and sky, the embodiment of power, and the messenger of embodies unwavering loyalty and the profound divine messages.
Kneeling down in reverence to his master, hands respectfully folded in anjali mudra, his posture and gesture speak of devotion and humility. He has wings, which are not visible frontally, and a birdlike human held with a curved beak. He is wearing a small crown and jewellery befitting a cosmic being. Due to his flight across the heavens, Garuda can be seen as a solar symbol. He is also an arch enemy of serpents. But since Vishnu is linked with both the eternal antagonist, Sesha, the serpent and Garuda, the snake's opponent, Garuda cannot be disassociated from snakes. To strengthen his fact, we see snakes emerging from the head and shoulders of this composite being.
Garuda placed on a circular pedestal, inspires awe as a small but strong image. It inspires one on the way to devotion and integrity.
