Lord Hanuman is said to be the only god who is active on the earth plane as he was blessed by Sita for this. He is one of the strongest and purest gods. He has true loving emotional devotion for his own god Rama. He is known by various names, Anjaniputra (Son of Anjani), Pawanputra (Son of wind god Pawan), Bajrangbali (strongness and power).
This sculpture clearly justifies the name Bajrangbali as he is shown with boasted chest and holds the Sanjeevani mountain with his left hand to revive Laxman Ji by its powerful herbs. Structure of Sanjeevani Mountain is very artistically designed with a combination of green and yellow color to highlight the herbs on it. He is wearing a vermilion (sindoori) colored dhoti and superfine jewels are adorned on his body and clothes. Sindoori color is symbolic of long life and wealth of the loved one, so Hanuman Ji also wore it for his Lord Rama. He is holds a comely patterned gada in his left hand. The long tail going upwards has a combination of yellow at the top which pleasantly matches with the same combination stole on his shoulders. He is standing on a rectangular pedestal and left leg is on the remaining uncut mountain piece. The temple shaped crown has a heavenly appearance. Facial expressions and golden brown hair on the face are mesmerizing. Generic briefings add to the beauty and worthiness of the statue.
This statue is sculpted on a single piece of marble which is best known for its translucency, softness and durability. This quality of marble makes the sculptures look ravishing.
How to clean and maintain marble statues?
Marble has been a preferred material for sculptors and artists for more than a thousand years. It is a rock that undergoes metamorphism which causes recrystallization of the original carbonate mineral grains. Marble comes in various colors, designs, and dimensions. Pure white marble is the most preferred type of marble for making sculptures and statues since time immemorial. White marble is especially used for sculpting stone monumental sculptures since ancient times. The natural shine and luster of the carbonate crystals of white marble give a lavish and beautiful appearance to the statue.
Marble stone statues are highly durable and can even withstand harsh weather conditions without getting corroded, therefore, they can be kept indoors or outdoors without getting damaged or weathered. Although these statues can last for many decades, their regular care and cleaning are essential to increase their longevity and beautiful appearance.
Marble statues need periodical cleaning to maintain their flawless look. However, harsh and deep cleaning can result in making the statue look dull. If your marble statue is withering away, it is recommended to take the help of a professional cleaner. Marble is a delicate material and therefore needs proper care.
