The eyes are protruding and cheeks are raised; the tongue hangs out and numerous fangs eject from the mouth. Looped earring hang from the earlobes. There is nothing attractive in the mask. Yet it has a purpose; such masks were hung by rural folk to ward of ghosts and evil spirits.
