A pale monotone gold characterises this murti. Lord Ganesha is seated on a multi-tiered pedestal carved with lotus petals. The same is poised upon an even wider pedestal, whose legs are but a thick network of vines curving seductively upwards to hold the murti in place. The shringar of the Lord are in keeping with the traditional iconography of the child of Shiva-Parvati: ornate crown, tattooed trunk of the elephant head, and necklaces and bracelets and anklets aplenty.
The luxuriant vine aureole adds an inimitable brilliance to this bronze composition. Indeed, the sheer proportion of vines around the murti and the style of pedestal are signature aspects of the workmanship of the South. From the throne of Lord Ganesha emerges a network of graciously curving vines in a perfectly symmetrical spread about Him. Two of His vahana, the mouse, are on either side of the throne upon those vines, while a pair of peacocks are perched on top above His crown.
