Bhairava is often depicted in an enraged state, with large menacing eyes, blazing hair, tiger's teeth, snake coiled around his neck and a crown of skulls. His third eye represents endless supreme wisdom. His origins can be traced back as an incarnation of Lord Shiva to teach Lord Brahma a lesson by severing one of his five heads.
