Bangalore bronzes are coveted by art lovers the world over. Sourced from the finest artisans of the South, this murti of Lord Narayan is fit to be housed in a temple. It is said that the sun itself is pratyaksh Narayan (Lord Narayan as perceived by the human senses), which is why this sculpture of the Lord bears the resplendence of the sun itself. He holds a dharmachakra in one hand and an ornate conch in the other, while His anterior hands are in the gestures of granting a boon and a blessing. The looming spire of His crown is characteristic of the workmanship of Southern India.

The Lord's physique is graciously slender, its proportions supremely balanced. The aspects of symmetry prevalent in the splendidly fashioned dhoti and the cascading sash on either side below the navel, are soothing to the eye. Note the seven gorgeously embellished horses before His pedestal, which symbolise the seven days of the cyclical week.
