In this sculpture,
Lord Buddha is sitting in the Abhaya
Mudra (gesture of fearlessness). With his right hand raised, palm facing
outward, Lord Buddha offers reassurance and protection to all beings. The
Abhaya Mudra signifies the dispelling of fear and obstacles on the path to
enlightenment. His gentle closed eyes exude profound inner peace and wisdom.
Buddha’s hair is depicted in small, tight curls, forming a cranial protuberance
known as the “Ushnisha” signifying the attainment of higher consciousness and
the enlightened mind. Clad in monastic robes (Kasaya), embodying simplicity and
detachment, Lord Buddha’s presence exudes tranquillity and spiritual grace.
Crafted with devotion, this handmade brass
sculpture serves as a guiding light for seekers, inspiring them to embrace
courage, compassion, and fearlessness on their spiritual journey towards
liberation.
