This lamp is called Thokku Villaku in Kerala. A well-constructed classic brass hanging lamp that is commonly considered a sign of riches and prosperity. This lamp is made out of a central oil basin with five wicks and a peacock sitting on top of the lamp, which also acts as a connector between the lamp and the chain that allows it to be hung. Thokku Vilakkus are suspended from the ceiling with a brass link chain to illuminate verandas. These lamps, which are lit in the evening to worship the almighty and utilized as ornamental items during festivals, serve as conduits for the almighty's benefits.
