Yamantaka here is shown with a bull’s head, and is poised in a dynamic position with an upraised skull-sword, on a buffalo. One of the villains can be seen lying recumbent under the animal. The whole composition is placed on a lotus pedestal signifying auspiciousness. Behind the deity can be seen a typical aureole, colored a flaming red. This symbolizes both, the wrath of the deity, as also the all-consuming fire of wisdom.
This sculpture was created in the city of Patan, near Kathmandu, and the artist is Shri Madan Prajapati.
