In this image the god is seated in 'ardhparyanka' pose i.e. seated with his left leg bent and the right vertically on the seat. This four-armed deity holds unusual attributes in the backhands, a goad and a cobra. The cobra held in the right hand is entwined in the form of a noose. The main right hand is disposed in abhaya mudra and the left one holds a bowl of modaks. The trunk reaches out towards the left to pick a modaka off the bowl. The eyes are positioned slantingly on the sloping surface on his face resembling those of an elephant.
Ganesha is wearing a loincloth visible here in gold, reaching below his knees, the folds carved finely. He is wearing a scarf, the ends of which are neatly shaped flaring on either side of the hips. He wears an 'udarabandha', a stomach band of cobra. He wears a long garland of floral design hanging from the shoulders. He wears long necklaces, bracelets, armlets and beaded anklets. He wears an elaborate headdress called the karandamukuta. This crown is shaped like a conical basket tapering upwards. In this image, there is a halo depicted behind the head of the god.
Mouse, the god's vahana is discreetly placed at his feet. It may be inconspicuous but its importance cannot be diminished.
