This Ankush, also known as an elephant goad, is a ceremonial artifact that is usually put beside a Ganesha statue. It is composed of solid bronze and has ceremonial significance. The Mahauts employ elephant goads to tame elephants while they are out on a stroll. Lord Ganesha, the guardian deity, also carries the Ankush and is said to restrain harmful ideas while guiding his followers to wisdom. This goad is very well-defined, with excellent carvings on the goad itself, which is further supported by a stand. This bronze ceremonial object represents Lord Ganesha's benediction and aids worshippers in keeping a watch on their lives.
