Shailasuta- the daughter of Shaila or Mountain king Himalaya, goddess Parvati is the supreme divine feminine, in whom reside all the womanly virtues which are reverential. Her eternal beauty is celebrated in the art of India, where Parvati appears as a youthful female, adorned marvelously and brimming with unparalleled luster. Devi Uma Parvati in this brass state is presented similarly, following the idiom of traditional Devi sculptures. While usually Uma Parvati is depicted in standing or sitting idols, this statue uses the bust style- showing the head and torso of the goddess with meticulous finishing and details.
