$205

See It In Your Home

Lord Ganesha is the child of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. He has a head of an elephant, even when he is the son of two human beings. The justification behind this follows his introduction to the world or his creation. He was not brought into the world by Parvati as a simple human being. Shiva was away for a long time regularly. In her loneliness, it seems she wanted a child to be with her always. She chose to make a kid and did this by framing him, Lord Ganesha, by using her own body soil. Thus Ganesh was conceived and Parvati was cheerful again.

The story goes that one day, while Parvati was taking a bath, Shiva got back home. When he tried to enter the house, however, he was met with young Lord Ganesha. Neither of them realized they were connected. Shiva became irate at not being permitted in and managed the situation by cleaving off Ganesh's head. It was then that Parvati emerged to observe what Shiva had done. She was miserable but figured out how to let Shiva know that the kid whose head he had cut off was truth be told his child. Irate and irritated with the confusion he had made of the circumstance, Shiva chose to fix it. He went out and chased the first creature he saw, the elephant, and brought back its head to replace the kid's, thus giving Lord Ganesha an elephant head. This brass statue of the Lord depicts the magnificence of Ganesha, the remover of all hindrances in his devotee’s life and riches.

This Ganesh sculpture has a characteristic warmth and serenity that is felt in his presence. Mooshika, the vahana or vehicle of Ganesh is seated close to Ganesha's feet holding a piece of food. Rodents are the ideal companion to Lord Ganesha since rodents are fit for getting past any block that lay in their way similarly as Ganesh moves any detours from his devotees’ spiritual path. The beautiful Lord Ganesha statue should be carefully wiped with a soft cotton cloth once or twice a week. The brilliant statue of the son of Shiva and Parvati is handmade with great care by the master sculptors from Jaipur
