This Asthalakshmi Kudam, a brass vessel of abundance, pays homage to Goddess Lakshmi, the bestower of wealth and prosperity. Asthalakshmi, the eight incarnations of Lakshmi, are exquisitely depicted, each representing different forms of fortune, from wealth to knowledge. In her multiple hands, she carries symbols such as the lotus (purity), gold coins (material wealth), and a book (wisdom). As we pour sacred water from this kudam during rituals, we invoke her grace, believing that her blessings will nourish our lives with spiritual and material riches.
