In the divine bronze icon, the powerful mother goddess Varahi is presented in her four-armed form. Devi Varahi is attired in a saree, a crown, ornaments, and a U-shaped Tilak which is worn by Vishnu and his followers, thus associating the goddess with Vishnu’s form as Varaha.
The queenly mother goddess is placed on a regal throne, seated on an inverted lotus, while her dangling leg is kept on a small lotus blooming from the throne. The plow and mortar are Varahi’s weapons in wars against demons, vanishing whom the goddess gives boons of fearlessness and benevolence with her hands raised in protective gestures.
