In this celestial tapestry of divinity, Lord Narasimha, also referred as Narasingha’ emerges, standing regally on a divine pedestal, enveloped by the majestic hoods of Sheshnaag.
As the fourth incarnation of ‘Lord Vishnu’, Narasimha, the divine amalgamation of man and lion, has been depicted adorning with the sacred symbols of the discus (Sudarshan Chakra), conch shell (Shankha), and mace (Kaumodaki or Gada), symbolising the triumph of good over evil. In this manifestation, He Killed a demon called ‘Hiranyakashipu’ who was posing as a God and not allowing the devotees to worship Vishnu.
Here, His benevolent gaze pierces through the cosmos, guiding seekers. The right hand, poised in the reassuring ‘Abhaya Mudra’, imparts courage to devotees facing life’s tumultuous challenges. Worshipping this divine form, carved in copper, bestows the gift of fearlessness, dispelling the shadows of doubt and despair.
