This sculpture is shown sitting in a lalitasan posture, having four hands, where the right hand is in Abhaya Mudra as if giving knowledge to the worshippers and the left hand is holding the book of wisdom. The other two hands have Lord Vishnu’s weapons, a conch and disc respectively. He is sitting on an inverted lotus which is placed on a square-shaped, beautifully decorated, two-layered pedestal.

Goddess Lakshmi is shown sitting on Hayagriva’s left knee. She is holding a lotus in her left hand and the right hand is at the back, on Hayagriva’s left side of the waist. Both are wearing ankle-length dhotis and enthralling coronets. Hayagriva’s head is covered by Sheshnag’s head as a shield. This posture of Hayagriva and Shakti together shows showing love, care, and divinity between them.
