In a waved stance, this clean edged bronze idol of Pashupati narrates the nurturing aspect of Lord Shiva. Pashupati literally translates to the ‘guardian of animals’, known for his affinity with various animals Shiva here is seen carrying the Naga king Vasuki, in his forward hand while the back hand at the opposite side holds a deer. Pashupati has historically been revered in the Indian Subcontinent and his prime temple PashupatiNath is located in Kathmandu, Nepal which is also the oldest Hindu temple in the country.
