Kubera, a prominent figure in Hindu mythology and also recognized in Buddhism, is often depicted as a dwarf with a complexion resembling lotus leaves and a prominent potbelly. He is described as having three legs, only eight teeth, one eye, and being adorned with a wealth of jewels.
Kubera is closely associated with various aspects of wealth, including the earth's treasures, minerals, and precious jewels found underground. He is particularly regarded as the guardian of the north direction. In artistic representations, Kubera is often portrayed as a dwarfish figure, and he may be seen holding a money bag or a pomegranate. Sometimes, he is shown riding atop a man. Additionally, Kubera is also recognized in Buddhist and Jain mythologies, and in Buddhist sculptures, he is frequently accompanied by a mongoose, symbolizing his connection to riches and prosperity.
