Lord Varaha is the emanation of Sri Vishnu, an avatar that the preserver Lord took to protect the earth from the violence of Hiranyaksha. His guarding presence is depicted in this small bronze statue standing majestically in the alidha posture- one leg over the hood of Shesha and another over his lotus pedestal. Sri Varaha is adorned regally, appears in his four-armed form, and cradles mother earth or Bhudevi in his arms, and appears to be gently gazing at her.
