In Hindu tradition, lamps have long played the role of mediums to offer prayer and get blessings in return. This puja lamp made in brass is one such medium. Its construction is very simple and follows the traditional aarti lamp pattern. There is a leaf-like lamp with a circular base and a stem attaching the lamp and the base.
