The Lord of Pandharpur- Vitthal along with his Shakti Devi Rukmini or Rakhmai is presented in these handmade brass statues in the iconography of the temple murtis. Adorned in traditional attire and ornaments, Vitthal and Rukmini share a pedestal while standing on individual Pithas, in distinctive postures, reminiscent of the legend of Vishnu-bhakta Pundalik, whose pure devotion made the Lord of Vaikuntha wait at his door and remain at Pandharpur for the betterment of his devotees.
