Letting the world experience his divine Lilla eternally, Krishna appears in Kalinga-Krishna or Kaliya-Mardan bronze statues- metal infused with movement.

In this unique Kaliya-Krishna statue, the dancing Lord appears in a youthful form, in comparison to his child-like appearance associated with this Lila.

Elongated and supple limbs with a hint of musculature giving a mature form to Krishna, the statue is sculpted in the traditional asthetics of Swamimalai, giving it an antique appeal.

Adorned with a lovely crown made of his tresses, Krishna reminds one of Nataraja-Shiva, who wears his hair in Jatamukuta.

Makara-kundala (earrings with Makara, a mythical animal, a symbol of royalty and divinity), jeweled necklace, criss-cross chest ornament, and a short dhoti enhance the beauty of Natawara- the greatest dancer. Kaliya trampled by Krishna assumes a gentle, devotional attitude, appearing in a zoo-anthropomorphic form (half animal and half human), with hands joined in Namaskara. The pedestal for the statue is designed with handles on each side and holes to insert poles with which the bronze images were traditionally moved during the temple procession, bringing a sacred, antique value to the statue.
