॥ गजाननं भूतगणादि सेवितं, कपित्थ जम्बूफलसार भक्षितम् ॥ ॥ उमासुतं शोक विनाशकारणं, नमामि विघ्नेश्वर पादपङ्कजम् ॥ I prostrate at the Lotus-Feet of Vigneshwara (The God Who Removes All Obstacles in Life), Who is Served by the Bhuta Gana (Celestial Attendants or Followers) and Others, Who Eats the Core of Kapittha and Jambu Fruits, who is the Son of Devi Uma (Parvati), and Who Destroys All Sorrows.
This Kuthu Vilakku, with the holy figure of Lord Ganesha sitting on a lotus, atop, serves as a conduit for the Lord's loving blessings to spread throughout the surroundings.
This lamp is commonly used to decorate temples and personal worship spaces during festivals, and it comes with an elaborate stand known locally as "kandam," an oil well with one, five, or seven wicks known as "Thanguli," and a crown known as "Prabhai."
A base with a raised disc-like structure balances the lamp's stand. The body of the lamp is embellished with the fortunate symbols of Kalash (pot) and Lotuses. These columnar lights frequently contain replaceable components held together by bolts. This light, blessed by Lord Ganapati, brings Shubh (auspicious) sentiments into a space while also boosting its attractiveness.
