Lord Vishnu who is the sustainer and preserver of the universe has been gracefully depicted in this sculpture. Standing majestically on a lotus podium, the Protector of all beings is seen holding a conch shell and a discus, demonstrating that he is the supreme commander of the universe. Adorned in regal attire, Lord Vishnu is well-dressed with necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and a crown, symbolising prosperity and abundance. The Shrivatsa mark on Vishnu’s chest is where his consort “Shri” resides. In this Sculpture, Lord Vishnu has been depicted standing in “Abhay Mudra” (fear not gesture), symbolising his ability to overcome obstacles. He stands as a beacon of courage, dispelling fear and offering refuge to the devotees who seek his shelter.
