Goddess Devasena is one of the two consorts of Lord Murugan (Kartikeya), the Hindu god of war and wisdom.
Devasena symbolizes valor, righteousness, and spiritual strength.
In Hindu text, she is described as the daughter of Indra, the king of gods, and was given in marriage to Murugan as a divine union symbolizing victory over evil forces.
Devasena is shown standing elegantly, adorned in ornate jewelry and royal garments, reflecting her graceful yet powerful nature. She may hold a lotus with her hands in Anjali Mudra (a gesture of reverence). Together with Valli, Murugan’s other consort, Devasena represents the balance between duty and love, discipline and devotion.
