The Maharashtrian bride wears a rich green 9-yard sari that goes in between the legs and is tucked at the back. A brocade stole covers her shoulders while the bridal green bangles mingle with the gold jewellery. As they come in for the marriage to be solemnised, the bride and groom have to wear on their forehead a pearl ornament called mundawle.
