Manjushri, a prince of wisdom in Buddhism, attained enlightenment eons ago and vowed to return as a bodhisattva to illuminate the Buddha's teachings on selflessness and voidness.
He wields the flaming sword of wisdom in his right hand. In Mahayana Buddhism, Manjushri is known as having the highest wisdom among Bodhisattvas. Simhanada, a form of Manjushri, is depicted with a red body, and four arms. His right hand holds a flaming sword, while his left hand cradles a lotus stem, a golden book atop the flower, and a bow. Red Manjushri is often shown seated on a lotus-flower throne, adorned in princely attire and regal jewelry.
