The Sudarshan Chakra was considered Lord Vishnu's wheel of time throughout the Vedic period. However, by the late medieval era, Sudarshan Chakra had evolved into "Ayudha Purush," signifying a furious avatar of Lord Vishnu and was considered the weapon of enemy annihilation. Lord Vishnu is shown with the Chakra in his right rear hand of the four. Lord Vishnu wears the Sudarshan Chakra as a ring on his index finger. This brass lamp decorated with beautiful motifs mainly focuses on the use of this divine symbol in increasing the auspiciosity of the light which is also a medium for offering the agni or fire to the almighty.
