Vajrasattva, a bodhisattva within the Tibetan Vajrayana tradition, has attained enlightenment yet remains within the cycle of rebirth to guide others towards their enlightenment. The name Vajrasattva translates to "diamond being" or "thunderbolt being." Often seen as a serene white deity seated in padmasana upon a lotus throne, Vajrasattva plays a pivotal role in purification and the dispelling of negative karma.
In the statue representation of Vajrasattva, he holds a vajra in his right hand and a bell in his left. The vajra, held close to the chest, symbolizes ultimate reality, while the inward-facing bell embodies wisdom. His adorned crown, intricate clothing, and the elaborately engraved lotus base accentuate the statue's aesthetic elegance.
