“Panchasyachutamaneka vichitra veeryam |Sri shanka chakra ramaniya bhujagra desam ||Peethambaram makara kundala noopurangam |Dhyayethitam kapivaram hruthi bhvayami” ||
This above mantra describes the five faces of the Panchamukhi Hanuman. Lord Hanuman assumed this form to kill Mahiravana, brother of Ravana. The face towards the East is Sri Hanuman Mukha, this face removes all sins and confers chastity of mind (Chitta Suddhi). In facing the South, Sri Karala Ugravira Narasimha Swami removes the fear of adversaries and confers victory.
The face facing the west is that of Lord Shri Mahavira Garuda and this face drives down evil spells. Sri Lakshmi Varaha Murthi facing the North, wards off the troubles caused by bad influences and confers Ashta Aishwarya.
The Urdhva Mukha facing overhead of Sri Hayagriva Swami confers knowledge, victory, and the blessing of a good spouse. Made in stone with a crimson hue, this statue instills a sense of spirituality and inspires a deeper connection with the divine.
