Glistening divinely, this Panchaloha bronze presents the popular and majestic form of Sri Krishna as Tribhanga Murari, standing in the triple-bent posture. In his primary hands is his Murli or flute, while his secondary hands carry the attributes of Vishnu- conch and discus, symbolizing Krishna’s connection with Sri Hari as his avatar or incarnation. The two-tiered lotus pedestal symbolizes the origin of the universe, which is sustained and nourished by the presence of Narayana.
Krishna is beautifully adorned with quintessential Vaishnava elements- elongated Kiritamukuta, U-shaped Tilak, jeweled ornaments, and a lovely dhoti that clings to his legs forming fine folds. Smiling gently, Krishna blows a sense of animation in his murti, making it a celestial icon for his devotees.
