The Japanese technique of painting with ink on paper has been adopted by many painters and experimented with other techniques of watercolor painting. This painting titled "Valley in Monochrome" by Sanjoy Banerjee, is a watercolor masterpiece, that unveils a vision of a snow-clad valley. Some vegetation is shown in dark shade and the watercolor is allowed to move loose on wet paper creating a foggy look. A very unclear sight at first the painting open ups with time and captures the attention of the beholder. These types of paintings with dilute landscapes allow the beholder to unleash their creativity and find structure within the lines. The painting's monochromatic hues and graceful brushwork mirror the timeless beauty of simplicity. It symbolizes the harmony of contrasts, where shadows and light coexist in perfect balance.
