Under a specific tree named after the planed 'Shani' or Saturn, sits an aghora tantrik engrossed in meditation. He is wearing black clothes and strings of rudraksha and tulsi beads. He is sitting with his legs crossed and palms facing outwards. A big, black dot adorns his forehead. Around him lie some bones and skulls.
Tantra is a code of occult rites and unorthodox practices practiced by the tantriks and aghoras. The man on the right with a long beard and flowing hair also indulges in these rituals which the main branch of Hinduism is not comfortable with. He is also dressed in black clothes. His eye is large, almost covering the entire face. This is done to induce fear and awe. By the power of meditation and rituals they have asked a spirit to appear. The spirit with formless lower limbs sits with folded hands waiting for orders.
The artist has created an awesome milieu with skulls and bones strewn around and the fiery appearance of tantriks. By using colours black and red, often used colours in the rituals, the artist has added to the impact of the theme.
