Using the most fascinating pinks and purples, the artist has transferred the natural laws into unreal forms. There is a sense of disciplined rhythm in the inward and outward movement and placement of the leaves. Some of the flowers have botanical identity and others have no organic connection. The artist's basic aim here is to create an appealing work, rather than a realistic one. The composition is compact and nothing appears in isolation some connected to the stem, some as emanating growth or as final form. Everything is identical on either side but that does not translate into monotony. There is order and liveliness. The painting depicts underlying harmony and lyricism. What is also evident here is that the Persian art was not untouched by European influence.
