Ornaments have been an obsession with women and the goldsmiths have produced masterpieces to please their vain customers. This painting aims not at projecting the beauty of a woman but the delicacy of the ornaments that beautify her. The profile of a woman shows her wearing kohl in her eyes. She wears head ornaments, earrings, necklace and bracelets. A limb emerges below showing a henna painted hand with sets of jewel encrusted bracelets and bangles. Quite prominent is the back of the woman's head, showing an exquisite hair ornament running from the base of her braid down to the end. It starts with a brooch-like peacock design and further made of leaf shaped pattern in gold and stone, edged with pearls; the end has tassels in beads and silk threads.
