This painting is a glimpse of the glory of an individual who is a Jeevan-mukta (eternally free), one with the perfect state of Brahman. No lotus seat or an ornate throne for this simple man who was the embodiment of religious harmony. He sits on a rock one leg pendant, the other crossed at the knee. He does not even raise his hand to bless, the people around his image feel blessed already. A torn long kurta covers his frail body and a scarf the head. The tranquil eyes preach forgiveness and respect for all religions.
The artist has painted Baba with all devotion. The body contours are molded with ample three-dimensional effect. The folds of his clothes are well achieved. The halo behind his head is powerful, emanating rays of divinity.
