In the form of a benign, crawling child, the Supreme Lord Krishna shows up in Gokul, ready to change the lives of everyone on this earth. Even in his innocence, he performed miracles. One time, after gopis had complained to Yashoda about Krishna stealing their clothes while they bathed, she decided to teach him a lesson. She tied him to a big mortar with rope so he wouldn’t make mischief or bother anybody.
Soon, he was overcome with boredom and wanted to break himself free from the mortar. He dragged the heavy mortar all the way to two giant trees in the forest near his house and managed to get stuck. He pulled at the mortar with all his strength. While he had the body of a child, he was still an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. As he applied all his divine strength, the trees broke apart. It was then revealed that the trees were two divine beings who were cursed—Nalakuvara and Manigriva. Another incident proves that despite his innocence, Lord Krishna was always all knowing. As a child, he had eaten mud and his brother complained about it to Yashoda. When Yashoda urged him to open his mouth, she found the entire cosmos inside.
