Madhusudan Das created the artwork Ghar as a way to remind himself of the place where he was born and raised. The significance of the calm that small towns and villages contain is understood by every local who left their birthplace and joined the lights of the city. They might not be as forward-thinking as urban cities, but the simplicity and inner tranquillity they possess far outweigh anything the screams of the city could ever offer. The artwork depicts a peaceful view of a charming village with lots of vegetation, houses that are hut-shaped from the top, and a resident riding a bicycle without polluting the environment. The Artist is trying to depict through his art that no matter where you settle in life, home is where you were raised.
