A series of homes with sturdy, thatched roofs with laundry drying in the verandah. Afore those houses, a rice plantation in full bloom. The women bend over calf-deep in the waters, picking the harvest with love and gratitude.
Packed skilfully into the canvas is a wealth of detail. For example, the flora are clearly distinguished despite the scale and distance at which they are executed. The same goes for roof and window and enclosure of each home in the composition.
