Matsya is thought to represent the first stage of evolution, as aquatic life was the first being on the planet. The story of Matsya Avatar of Lord Vishnu can be read as a creation myth in which Manu builds worldly beings and men after they are destroyed by the flood, although the creation is never the focus of the legend. Some authors consider the tale to be symbolic rather than a flood myth. Manu's boat represents moksha (salvation), which allows one to cross over.
The occurrence of the Matsya Avatar helps Manu cross the boundaries of illusion and enlightenment. This Madhubani-style painting which is also Acrylic on Canvas is an homage to the mighty Matsya Avatar of Lor Vishnu. Muskan's use of acrylic paints infuses vibrancy into the mythological narrative, capturing the intricate details of the celestial fish form. The canvas serves as a sacred tableau, elevating the spiritual aura of the depiction.
