In this panel, we see Shiva and his bride Parvati aloft Nandi, the bull. The wedding procession includes Vishnu, Brahma and the seven cosmic sages, the Saptarishis. Parvati had performed austere penances to impress upon Shiva the intensity of her love. And the entire cosmos rejoiced.
Some of the sages are seen playing drums, blowing the conch etc. Vishnu and Brahma hold their usual attributes. The entire painting speaks of joy and celebration with Shiva and Parvati oblivious to the ongoing event, looking deep into each other's eyes.
There is brightness of colour, associated with any folk art form. The artist has placed the figures in a way that they are neither overlapping, nor too distant. Each figure enjoys its own space. All of them, however, are seen in profile with prominent features eschewing sharpness.
