The poetic and rhetorical literature provides artists with a thematic repertoire apart from the religious texts, a body of tales rich in imagination and emotion.

Krishna ignored no opportunity to tease and trouble the gopis - stealing butter, breaking their pots and here he goes a step ahead. Gopis who are bathing in the river are surprised to find their clothes missing once they are done. They see Krishna perched on the tree top, with their clothes displayed on the branches. The gopis plead for their clothes. Krishna prods them to come out of the water and fetch them. Filled with shyness and embarrassment, they refuse. Some bold ones can be seen complying to his demand while others can be still seen waist deep in water. Krishna is pleased at himself. Smiling softly he makes a gesture of blessing, holding the flute in the other hand.

Using local dyes, the artist (K. Murali) instils life into a very interesting episode of Krishna's colourful life.
