A triplicate image of a woman runs into each other and blends into a harmonious whole, one within the other. The portrait seen till the waist has the woman with downcast eyes. The side profile is evident of a sharp nose, softly curling lips and a gently rounded chin. The eyebrows are shaped like a bow and the eyes are like lotus buds. A diaphanous odhini covers her head, one end of it falls on her back and the other covers her chest to be tucked under her arm. Her hair curls around her face, peeping from behind her jewellery. The sleeve of her pink is exquisitely worked upon.
This particular painting seems the work of two artists: one who has worked upon the face and the other who has finished the rest. The structure and outline of the face is sturdy and confident whereas the modulation of the arms and hands is weak. They criss-cross each other and one looks weaker than the other.
The background is occupied by the foliage and the sky of the setting sun and together they compliment the superb design.
