At the onset, one notices the finely carved marble pillars and the arch which enclose more beautiful elements - human form and natural beauty. Most of the pictorial space is occupied by the woman who is tall, lissome and graceful. She wears a skirt, accompanied by a short blouse and a diaphanous odhini that covers her head and the chest; the transparency of which reveals her curly tresses and some neck ornaments. Her face in profile shows idealistic features. She is not only beautiful but artistically inclined as well. She rests the surface she is painting on against the bolster she puts her left arm against, folding it to hold her face in the palm. The right hand is occupied in painting the picture of her beloved; the hand following the dictates of her heart. Shell hollows containing the paint lie on the floor.
As aforementioned, human form is not the only beautiful element; the luscious green vegetation, with architecture keeping from within the yellow and orange sky which is competing with the blue one, all add to the beauty of the composition.
