He is shown seated in vajrasana. He has two hands, the right hand is holding a flaming sword. By the sword he is supposed to smite the guilty. The lasso in his left hand is to catch and bind the wicked. His expression is ferocious and his body is surrounded by flames indicating his violent and imperturbable character. His mouth is open showing his protruding teeth. The eyes are angry, red and staring. He has coarse hair, one portion of it is braided and hanging down on his left side. On the top of the head is a wish fulfilling jewel. He is adorned with necklaces, armlets, bracelets, scarf and a dhoti as a lower garment. All the garments are decorated with floral designs. On his belly is the dharma wheel, an auspicious symbol.
