This Madhubani is a pictorial narration of an incident in the life of Shiva and Parvati. Parvati and Lakshmi, despite being goddesses, were women first. There ensured an argument between the two as to who was greater among the two. Since Lakshmi was the goddess of wealth, Parvati felt she was at a disadvantage. She went to Shiva complaining. Shiva, who was in deep meditation, was furious. In the argument that followed Shiva's anger grew and he reduced Parvati to ashes.
There is no sharp dividing line between the merging of one scene and the emergence of another. The story line smoothly flows.
